Speaker I
Biography: Zhifang Yang received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University. He currently works as an assistant professor at Chongqing University. His research interests include power system optimization and economic analysis. Zhifang Yang has published more than 50 peer reviewed papers in journals and conferences.
Speaker II
Biography: Liu Jichun is a professor, doctoral supervisor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Sichuan University, China. He is also an IEEE senior member, CSEE senior member, executive director or member of the subcommittee of IEEE PES technical committee, member of Sichuan Electric Power Market Management Committee, member of a professional working group of Sichuan electric power market rules. He has refereed numerous international authoritative journals such as IEEE Transactions, etc. His research interest is power system analysis & economic operation. He has hosted and participated in the National 863 project, general and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, national key R & D plan, funds of the Ministry of education, and dozens of enterprise entrusted projects. Based on the scientific research projects, he has published more than 100 academic papers (including more than 40 SCI and EI papers) at home and abroad. He has won the national invention patent authorization and Sichuan Scientific and Technological Progress Award several times.

Biography: Youbo Liu received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, in 2005, 2008, and 2011, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor in Power System with the College of Electrical Engineering, Sichuan University. Dr. Liu’s research interests mainly include machine learning in smart grid, energy-storage system applications, power system stability and control and etc. Dr. Liu has published more than 200 peer reviewed journal and conference papers, including the high qualified papers in IEEE transactions on power system, IEEE transactions on smart grid, Applied energy, and etc. Dr. Liu has hosted and joined more than 60 projects, including projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China and National Key R&D Program of China.

Biography: Ye Guo is an Associate Professor at Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University. He received his bachelor degree in 2008 and doctoral degree in 2013, both from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University. He was a Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell University between 2014 and 2018. His research interests include distributed optimization, game and market theory, state estimation, and their applications in power and energy systems. From 2019 to 2021, he won IEEE PES General Meeting best paper awards four times for three years in a row, one co-authored paper selected as the “Best-of-the-Best paper award. Ye Guo is a state specially recruited young expert. He is currently leading a NSFC standard research project.

Biography: Xiaomeng Ai is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST), Wuhan, China. He received the B.Sc. degree in mathematics and applied mathematics and Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 2008 and 2014, respectively, both from HUST. His research interests include renewable energy integration, flexibility and optimization with energy storage, load management and integrated energy market. He has published more than 70 peer reviewed journal and conference papers, including 3 ESI 1% highly cited papers and 2 Frontrunner 5000 papers. He has hosted and joined more than 20 projects, including projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China and National Key R&D Program of China. He won some awards, including Second Prize of National Science and Technology Awards, and First Prize of Provincial Science and Technology Awards.
Speaker III
Biography: Jianxiao Wang received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2014 and 2019. He was a visiting student researcher at Stanford University, CA, USA. He is currently an assistant professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, North China Electric Power University, Beijing, China. He was awarded as the Outstanding Ph.D. Graduate of Tsinghua University, and Junior Fellowships for Advanced Innovation Think-Tank Programming by China Association for Science and Technology. His research interests include smart grid operation and planning, hydrogen and storage technology, transportation and energy systems integration, electricity market and data analytics.

Biography: Can Wan received the B.Eng. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 2015. He serves as a Professor with the College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, and held research positions with the Technical University of Denmark, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and City University of Hong Kong. He was a Visiting Scholar with the Center for Electric Power and Energy, Technical University of Denmark, and Argonne National Laboratory, Lemont, IL, USA. His research interests include forecasting, renewable energy, active distribution network, integrated energy systems, and machine learning. He is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Systems Journal and the CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems.
Speaker II
Biography: Kai Hou (1988-) is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University, Tianjin, China. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China in 2016. He is mainly engaged in reliability and resilience assessment of electric power and integrated energy systems. He has published 19 SCI papers, including a ESI 1% highly cited paper. He has applied and authorized 13 national invention patents, including 2 PCT patents. He hosted 17 scientific research projects, including the General & Youth Programs of NFSC, the Special Founding & first Class Programs of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He won two first prize of Provincial Science and Technology Awards.

Biography: Ershun Du received his B.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Tsinghua University, China in 2013 and 2018 respectively. He was a visiting scholar in National Renewable Energy Laboratory from Oct. 2016 to Oct. 2017. He is currently working as a research assistant professor at Low Carbon Energy Laboratory, Tsinghua University. His research interests include Power System Planning, Renewable Electricity Market, Concentrating Solar Power, and Low-carbon Energy Policy. He has published more than 50 peer reviewed journal and conference papers, including the high qualified papers in IEEE Transactions on Power System, Applied Energy, and etc.

Biography: Wei Lin received his B.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 2016, and 2021, respectively. He was also a visiting Ph.D. student at University of Connecticut, from Sep. 2019 to Oct. 2020. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Information Engineering, The Chinse University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China. His research interests include interconnected network analysis, electricity market, and renewable power systems. He has published more than 10 SCI papers in recognized journals (e.g., IEEE Transactions on Power Systems). He participated in more than 10 projects, including National Key R&D Program of China, ISO-NE projects, etc. He is serving as a reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, etc.

Biography: Yu Juan (1980-), IEEE Senior member, professor and doctoral supervisor, serves as deputy director of the Center for Electric Power and Energy Reliability Research, Chongqing University. She is mainly engaged in risk assessment and control of electric power and energy systems, deep learning and big data technology theory. She hosted and participated in more than 40 scientific research projects, and published more than 90 high-level papers. 37 national invention patents were granted, including 2 American patents. She won the first prize of China Electric Power Science and Technology Award, the first prize of Chongqing Science and Technology Award, the second prize of Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Education, and the nomination prize of 100 Excellent Doctoral Dissertations in China. She served as Chairman of the Working Group on Reliability Assessment of IEEE PES, Chairman of IEEE PES Chongqing chapter and other international academic organizations and conferences.

Biography: Tao Chen is currently an Assistant Professor in Power Economics and Technology Research Institute (PETRI), School of Electrical Engineering, Southeast University, China. He is also affiliated with Tampere University, Finland, working as an adjunct researcher. His research interests are about demand side management, electricity market and machine learning applications in power systems. Before joining in Southeast University, he worked as a Postdoctoral Associate with Prof. Saifur Rahman in Advanced Research Institute (ARI), Virginia Tech, Washington D.C., USA, 2018-2019 and a Research Assistant in University of Michigan, 2015-2018. He also worked as an Intern Engineer in Global Energy Interconnection Research Institute North America (GEIRINA), California, USA, 2017-2018 and Project Researcher in Tampere University of Technology, Finland, 2013-2015.
He received the Best Paper Award for ISGT-Asia 2019 and the Best Reviewer Award for IEEE Transaction on Smart Grids 2020. He is a Guest Editor for Frontiers in Energy Research, has (co)authored more than 50 publications and PI for many R&D projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, and Science and Technology Project of the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC).

Biography: Dr. Sidun FANG received his B.E degree and Ph.D. degree in Chongqing University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, respectively in 2012 and 2017. Now he is a full professor (Hongshen Young Scholar program) with the School of Electrical Engineering, Chongqing University. His research interest is the Integrated Transportation and Energy systems, especially in maritime applications. Dr. Fang was awarded the Outstanding Graduate prize of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and his doctoral dissertation was nominated as Excellent Dissertation Papers in Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2017. He has published one book in Springer Nature and more than 30 journal papers as the first author Since 2015. Dr. Fang is an editor for IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications and International Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems.

Biography: Dr Xiandong Xu is an Associate Professor at Tianjin University. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2009 and 2015. From 2015 to 2020, he was with Queen's University Belfast and Cardiff University as a post-doctoral researcher. His research focuses on integrated energy systems, in particular modeling and flexibility analysis, for supporting renewable energy integration and energy saving of processing industries. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers. He is an Associate Editor of IET Energy System Integration (since 2021). He has contributed to more than 10 government and industry funded projects as Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, or main participant.
