Prof. Tao Ding | Xi’an Jiaotong University, China

丁涛教授,西安交通大学

Biography: Tao Ding (M’15-SM’19) received the B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2009 and 2012, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2015. During 2013 and 2014, he was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA. He is currently a Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Electrical Insulation and Power Equipment, the School of Electrical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. His current research interests include electricity markets, power system economics and optimization methods, and power system planning and reliability evaluation. He has published more than 60 technical papers and authored by “Springer Theses” recognizing outstanding Ph.D. research around the world and across the physical sciences—Power System Operation with Large Scale Stochastic Wind Power Integration. He received the excellent master and doctoral dissertation from Southeast University and Tsinghua University, respectively, and Outstanding Graduate Award of Beijing City. Dr. Ding is an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, and CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems.

Prof. Tao Jiang | Northeast Electric Power University, China

姜涛教授,东北电力大学

Biography: Dr. Tao Jiang received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Northeast Electric Power University, Jilin, China, in 2006 and 2011, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2015. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Northeast Electric Power University. From 2014 to 2015, he was a visiting scholar with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA. From Oct 2018 to Oct 2019, he was a visiting scholar with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA. His research interests include power system stability analysis and control, renewable energy integration, demand response, and smart grid. He is associate editors of IEEE Transaction on Power Systems, IET Energy Systems Integration, Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems, and was Guest Editors in Chief of International Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems SS on Integrated Local Energy Systems and IET Energy Systems Integration SS on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics for Smart Grids with High Penetrations of Renewables. He was awarded as Scientific and technological Progress Award of Jilin Province, China Power Outstanding Young Scientists and so on. He serves as PI and Co-PI of many projects awarded by MOST, NSFC, SGCC, CSG.

Prof. Can Wan | Zhejiang University, China

Biography: Can Wan received the B.Eng. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, in 2015. He serves as a Professor with the College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, and held research positions with the Technical University of Denmark, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and City University of Hong Kong. He was a Visiting Scholar with the Center for Electric Power and Energy, Technical University of Denmark, and Argonne National Laboratory, Lemont, IL, USA. His research interests include forecasting, renewable energy, active distribution network, integrated energy systems, and machine learning. He is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Systems Journal and the CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems.

Prof. Zhifang Yang | Chongqing University, China

杨知方教授,重庆大学

Biography:杨知方 重庆大学 电气工程学院 院长助理 百人计划研究员 博士生导师 主要从事电力系统优化、电力市场等领域相关研究,近五年以一作/通讯发表论文40余篇,IEEE Transactions会刊论文20余篇;主持国家自然科学基金青年项目等十余项横、纵向科研课题。参与的“大电网调度运营决策的高效建模与优化关键技术及工程应用”获中国电力科学技术奖一等奖和教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖(科学技术)一等奖(第六完成人);相关成果应用于我国重庆、山西等多个省网调度支持系统;参与多项与电力市场、电力系统调度优化相关的重大研究项目,包括国家科技支撑计划、国家自然科学基金重点项目等;参与研发广东电网撮合交易系统与广东现货市场出清和节点电价计算相关软件。

Assoc. Prof. Xiaomeng Ai | Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China

艾小猛副教授, 华中科技大学

Biography:艾小猛(1986),男,湖北孝感人,副教授,IEEE会员。2008年获华中科技大学数学与应用数学专业学士学位,2014年获华中科技大学电力系统及其自动化博士学位,博士毕业后在国网湖南省电力公司进行了为期1年多的工作。近年来主持国家自然科学基金青年基金项目1项、国家重点研发计划子任务1项、中国博士后基金面上项目1项和企业横向项目多项,并以重要成员参与包括973课题、863课题和国家自然科学基金重点基金项目等多项任务。先后接收发表SCI/EI论文50余篇,申请发明专利10件(含授权发明专利4件),其中一篇合作论文被评为2014年度领跑者5000论文,两篇国际会议论文获最佳论文奖,成果获2017年度国家科学技术进步二等奖。多次担任《IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid》、《Applied Energy》、《Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy》和《中国电机工程学报》等国际和国内一流期刊审稿人。主要研究方向为:储能规划与市场模式、新能源特性分析与建模、含大规模新能源并网电力系统的规划与优化运行、综合能源市场等方面。

Assoc. Prof. Hongjun Gao | Sichuan University, China

高红均副教授, 四川大学

Biography:Hongjun Gao is currently an Associate Professor with the College of Electrical Engineering, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. He received the B.S. degree, M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China in 2011, 2014 and 2017, respectively. From 2015 to 2016, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee, WI, USA. His research interests include active distribution system planning and operation, peer to peer (P2P) trading, integrated energy system optimization, etc. He has contributed to over 100 publications and 5 invention patents. He has won the first prize of China Electric Power Science and Technology Progress in 2019. He is the principal investigator (PI) or Co-PI of more than 10 research projects/funds, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key R&D Program of China, etc. He is the editorial member of IET Energy Conversion and Economics.

Assoc. Prof. Kai Liao | Southwest Jiaotong University, China

廖凯副教授, 西南交通大学

Biography:Dr. Kai Liao received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2011 and 2016, respectively. He was a Research Fellow with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore during Aug. 2016 to Mar. 2018. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University. His research interests include wind power system control, and power system stability. As the first/corresponding author, he has published 18 SCI/EI papers. His research is funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Science & Technology Department of Sichuan Province.

Assoc. Prof. Kai Hou | Tianjin University, China

侯恺副教授, 天津大学

Biography:Kai Hou (1988-) is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University, Tianjin, China. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China in 2016. He is mainly engaged in reliability and resilience assessment of electric power and integrated energy systems. He has published 17 SCI papers, including a ESI 1% highly cited paper. He has applied and authorized 13 national invention patents, including 2 American patents. He hosted 17 scientific research projects, including the General & Youth Programs of NFSC, the Special Founding & first Class Programs of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He won two first prize of Provincial Science and Technology Awards, and was selected in the “Introduction of the 100 outstanding owners of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation in 2019“.

Assoc. Prof. Tianfu Sun | Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China

孙天夫副教授, 中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院

Biography: Tianfu Sun was born in China. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Sheffield, Sheffield, U.K., in 2016.
From 2016 to 2017, he was with the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Sheffield, Sheffield, UK., where he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. He is currently working as an Associate Professor and a Senior Engineer in electric drives at Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen, China. He is also the director of the Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Electric Vehicle Powertrain Platform and Safety Technology. His current research interests include power electronics and motor drives.
Dr. Tianfu Sun has published more than 30 papers in recognized journals and conferences, undertaken or involved in more than 10 research projects and has obtained four patents in the related area. Many techniques developed by him have been adopted by industry. He is serving as a reviewer for the journals of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Applications, etc.

Assoc. Prof. Zhenyuan Zhang | University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China

张真源副教授, 电子科技大学

Biography: Zhenyuan Zhang received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington, TX, USA, in 2015. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China. He serves as the Secretary of Distribution Energy Resources Technical Committee in IEEE Industry Application Society, the Associate Editor of IEEE Transaction on Industry Applications. His focus lies in smart grids and arc flash research, but he has also been involved in power system analysis, renewable energy, electrical safety analysis, and power market researches. Since 2010, he has been the Project Associate for the IEEE/NFPA Arc Flash Research Project. He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers, and was awarded the IEEE IAS Ralph Lee Award, IEEE SA Outstanding Contribution Award.

Dr. Jianxiao Wang | North China Electric Power University, China

王剑晓,华北电力大学

Biography: I am currently an Assistant Professor at North China Electric Power University. My research interests include hydrogen/advanced storage technology, transportation and energy systems integration, cyber-physical system, electricity market and data analytics. I received the Bachelor degree of Electrical Engineering and Economy Management, and was awarded Excellent Thesis from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in Jul. 2014. Then I got my Ph.D. of Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in Jan. 2019, and was awarded Outstanding Doctoral Graduate and Jiang Nanxiang President Scholarship. I was also a visiting researcher in Stanford University and University of California, Berkeley from Nov. 2016 to Nov. 2017. From 2019.10-2020.10, I worded as an official in Ministry of Science and Technology of China.
I currently have published over 60 papers on IEEE/IET, Elsevier and some conferences. One of them is ESI highly cited, and two are awarded as Best Papers in IEEE IAS Industrial & Commercial Power System Asia (IEEE IAS I&CPS Asia). In 2020, I published a research paper on Nature Communications as the only first author. I became an IEEE Member since 2019, and worked as Member of Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering and Associate Editor of IET Renewable Power Generation (IF: 3.894). In recent years, I have reviewed over 100 papers for IEEE Trans Power Systems, IEEE Trans Smart Grid, IEEE Trans Sustainable Energy, IEEE Trans Industry Applications, IET GTD, IET RPG, etc. In 2019 and 2020 IEEE PES General Meeting, I worked as Chair and speaker of several Panel Sessions.

Dr. Wei Dai | Guangxi University, China

代伟,广西大学

Biography: Dai Wei (1990-), IEEE member, is an assistant professor with Guangxi University, serves as deputy director of the department of electrical engineering. His research interests include power system operation optimization, equivalent method of large-scale power grids, optimization and planning of integrated energy systems, application of artificial intelligence in power systems, etc. In recent years, he has published more than 20 SCI/EI papers, 10 patents including 1 U.S. patent, hosted and participated in more than 10 scientific research projects. He participated in the key technologies and projects of complex large power grid dispatching and operation under large load scale in Guangdong Province. The proposed static equivalent method greatly improved the analysis accuracy of Hongkong-Shenzhen-Macao interconnected power grid.
